The actor, reportedly, had to seek professional help to get out of the character completely. Certainly, he deserved a win for a role that he has put his heart and soul into. Ranveer Singh bagged the award for Best Actor (Critics) at 64th Filmfare Awards.

Surekha Sikri at the age of 74 years, has won her first ever Filmfare Award. The actress played the role of nagging but very supportive when needed matriarch in the movie, Badhaai Ho. She impressed the critics and the fans alike with her performance where she showed shades of humour and sternness.

And Raazi picks up another award tonight. Arijit Singh won Best Playback Singer for crooning Ae Watan from Meghna Gulzar's film. Now, Gulzar has bagged the Best Lyrics award for writing the song, Ae Watan. This is Gulzar's 10th Filmfare win in the Best Lyrics category. He has won the Filmfare in several other categories as well.
Arijit Singh sang the patriotic song, Ae Watan, for Meghan Gulzar's film, Raazi. The song was the most grounded and mellow patriotic number that had come out in years. Arijit Singh surely deserved a win. Arijit was also nominated in the same category for singing Binte Dil for Padmaavat. This was Arijit's fifth Filmfare. He previously bagged the award for Tum Hi Ho (Aashiqui 2), Sooraj Dooba Hai (Roy), Ae Dil Hai Mushkil title track and Roke Na Ruke Naina (Badrinath Ki Dulhania).
Another win for Padmaavat. The movie has bagged an award in the Best Singer Female category. Shreya Ghoshal took home the trophy for singing Ghoomar for the film, Padmaavat. This was Shreya Ghoshal's sixth Filmfare win. Her last Filmfare win was for singing Deewani Mastani in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani. In fact, she won her first ever Filmfare for singing Dola Re in SLB's Devdas.
Rahi Anil Barve's film, Tumbbad, has bagged yet another Filmfare tonight. The movie earned a win for its brilliant cinematography. The Filmfare Award for Best Cinematography has been won by Pankaj Kumar for Tumbbad. The movie is set in the pre-Independence era in India. If that was not challenging enough, the plot of the film is set in three timelines. Pankaj Kumar has movies like Haider, Rangoon, Daddy, Talvar and Ship Of Theseus to his credit. He is currently working on the movie Mental Hai Kya.
