3 Storeys Song Raasleela: Richa Chadha Is Playfully Seductive in This Melodious Dandiya Number
3 Storeys is scheduled to release on March 9.
Though anthology movies is a risky genre when it comes to Bollywood, Excel Entertainment take the risk to make 3 Storeys that is directed by Arjun Mukerjee. The movie stars Sharman Joshi, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Masumeh and Renuka Shahane, while also marking the debut of debut of Aisha Ahmed and Ankit Rathi. The movie interweaves three different stories set around a building, dealing with a mystery, a forbidden romance and reconnecting with an old flame.
When you love in such compact localities, the environs often give us opportunities to mingle more with our neighbours and celebrate festivals with them. The locality members in 3 Storeys are such mingling types and they are celebrating Navratri in this new song, Raasleela. We get to see the young romance between Aisha Ahmed and Ankit Rathi blossoming under the disapproving eyes of their parents. We also get to see Masumeh remember her old romance. Above all, we also get to see the resident 'hottie' bhabhi, played by Richa Chadha, get flirty with the men around her. BTW, did we just spot a bald Himanshu Malik (of Tum Bin and Khwahish fame) in there?
Raasleela is sung beautifully by Sumedha Karmahe. The song is composed by Amjad Nadeem Singer who has also written the lyrics along with Alaukik Rahi. Here's the song,
During the trailer launch, producer Ritesh Sidhwani had this to say about the movie, “This film was done much before Fukrey Returns. We were waiting for the right time to release the film. I have been getting a lot of questions about the story of this particular movie, which is very different, but I don’t know what the definition of commercial cinema is. Was Fukrey... commercial and did anyone expect it do that well? I mean no one can say that. We did a film in 2006 called Honeymoon Travels and nobody at that time thought that we were talking about packaged honeymoon and nobody thought that Kahaani (2012) would be commercial, so I feel it’s about the story and the content and I think films automatically find their own commerce, platform and people.”
3 Storeys is scheduled to release on March 9.
