This time, the actress made sure to not only make her statement by voting but also had a savage response for the Indian National Congress. The actress spoke to the media saying, "It's a very important day. This day comes once in five years, so please make use of this. I feel India is gaining its independence in the real sense of the term today. Because before this, we were servants of Mughal, British and Italian governments. So please exercise your right and vote."
Her statement on 'Italian government' was a clear potshot at the Congress party which is being led by Rahul Gandhi who is the son of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. The 'Italian' remark refers to Sonia Gandhi who hails from Italy. 2019 Lok Sabha Elections: Taimur Ali Khan Joins Mom Kareena Kapoor Khan As She Heads Out to Vote in Mumbai (Watch Video).
Of course, Kangana didn't just stop at this, she further even took a dig at Rahul Gandhi saying, "All our politicians who kept chilling in London... the state that this country is in, the rapes, the poverty, the pollution, the ecology... the 'durdasha', the state that our country was in during the Congress rule, it can't get worse than that. It is time for our swaraj and swadharm. So we should be going in large numbers and voting for India."
The actress is known for her unfiltered speech and this is one of the latest occasions where she has openly shown her support for the current ruling party. Recently, the actress' spokesperson and sister, Rangoli Chandel took to social media to criticise Alia Bhatt's mother, Soni Razdan for her comments about 'intolerance' and said, "These non Indians who are living off this land, using and abusing its people and its resources, lying about intolerance and spreading hatred, time to think about their agenda and not to get carried away with their provocations?"
