Our dreams of watching Saif Ali Khan share screen space with his daughter Sara Ali Khan were crushed when the makers of their speculated film announced that they will be not roping in Sara for the role of Saif's daughter. However, we are happy to learn that Pooja Bedi's daughter Alaia Furnitureewalla has been roped in to make her big Bollywood debut and star alongside Saif.
A source revealed to a Deccan Chronicle, "(Aalia) has also been looking at a good Bollywood debut and it seems that she has bagged the role that the makers were initially looking to cast Sara in. Sara is now a big star even before her release, and the makers wanted someone fresh for that character."
On the same, Saif commented to Mumbai Mirror, “She has all the qualities we were looking for in the young lead, the charm and energy to take the film to the level that it needs. We are lucky to have found our perfect cast and I’m looking forward to working with Alaia.” Now we know the star kid debut brigade is super crowded at the moment with Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Pandey to name a few, are making a debut. Perhaps now it is time to get familiar to another beauty's face who will soon be making her big debut. With that, here's us presenting some of her best pictures.

A year ago, in an interview, Pooja Bedi had revealed details about Alaia's background as she stated, “Aalia has done a one-year film direction course in New York University. She has done one-year acting course in New York Film Academy. She is currently back in India doing extensive training for Bollywood, busy attending acting, Kathak, contemporary, and singing classes.” Pooja also added, “She is getting loads of offer but I want her to focus on her preparation. Next year, we will launch her.” Looks like they are on track with the schedule as Alaia announced her debut alongside Saif Ali Khan.
