Today, it has been a year since Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat released. The movie featuring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles was one of the most controversial movies in the longest time. The movie was supposed to release in November 2017, but with protests all over the country against the film, it was delayed. The movie even led some fringe group members to announce a bounty on lead actress Deepika's head. So, with the movie celebrating one year anniversary today, it is time for the entire nation to celebrate. We managed to let creativity win as part of freedom of expression. And what better way to celebrate it than laughing a little more on film's main villain, Alauddin Khilji. Ranveer Singh FAILED to Be the Mean Khilji Before Ladylove Deepika Padukone IRL as They Performed to Padmaavat Song Khali Bali.
Ranveer, who played the antagonist, Khilji, took to his Twitter to share a never-seen-before video for his fans. In the funny video, you can see the actor in the get up of a Khilji, grooving to a pop number.
Who knew Khilji was a party girl inside? And why have we been deprived of this video for such a long time? Humanity deserved to see this at least six months ago.

As per reports, Ranveer suffered mental anguish when he was playing the extremely dark character. My decision came from my own self-loathing. Everyone has a negative side. The thought was now the intensity of my wrongdoings will be equal to my struggle to correct it. So when I played the part and got done, it felt like all the rubbish was out of my system. It felt like atonement," he said in an interview, revealing his reason to do the film.
Aditi Rao Hydari, who played a supporting role in Padmaavat, also remembered her experience. She shared a gorgeous picture of herself from the movie, in the getup of Mehrunisa. Here is what she tweeted:
Last year this time... #Padmaavat... an experience & a dream come true that I’ll never be able to put into words
Thank you #SanajaySir for #Mehrunissa ♥️🤗😘 ♥️ to the epic @RanveerOfficial @deepikapadukone @shahidkapoor @ShobhaIyerSant ♥️ And the whole team of #Padmaavat. 😘♥️ pic.twitter.com/eoW0wchsPA

Very recently, Shahid Kapoor appeared on an episode of Koffee with Karan 6. During the chat, he revealed that he wished Padmaavat was more balanced in terms of screentime. He and Deepika are yet to say something on social media about the movie completing one year.
