Beyoncé and Jay-Z are currently busy with their On the Run (OTR) II Tour. And fans across the globe are definitely crazy about it. But Saturday’s show at the United States Atlanta was thrown into chaos following a man invading the stage in between the live concert. In a viral video, captured by a fan, the man can be seen running on stage as the OTR II was concluding on August 25. There appeared to be some confusion on stage, but Beyoncé and Jay-Z later confirmed through social media that both were fine and are looking forward to their next gig. According to the Associated Press, the invader has been identified as a 26-year-old Anthony Charles Thomas Maxwell who approached the American rapper Jay-Z and made contact with him. The couple’s back up dancers and concert security were quick to stop Maxwell. However, the show was paused for a moment. He faces charges of ‘simple battery’ on top of ‘disorderly conduct’ following his arrest at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The charge of ‘battery’ was additional to his arrest as his invasion caused panic among fans.

Following this incident, a statement has been released by the tour organisers revealing that the American duo had chosen not to press charges against the invader.
Meanwhile, The Carter’s Sunday night show, August 26 in Atlanta took place without any such incident. Beyoncé even made a joke on stage when she turned around as though she was looking out for any more potential stage invaders. The couple is on the North American leg of the OTR II, the sequel to their first joint tour in 2014. OTR II is slated to conclude in Seattle on October 4.
