Baahubali 2 Goes to Pakistan With Shah Rukh Khan’s Dear Zindagi to Represent India in First Pakistan International Film festival

SS Rajamouli is still cherishing the success of his blockbuster franchise Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. After the film won hearts in India, it is all set to win the Pakistani audience soon. The Prabhas starrer magnum opus will be screened at the upcoming Pakistan International Film Festival (PIFF) in Karachi. While most of the time, we hear about the neighboring states banning our films, this news is surely a delight for the desi fans.

Rajamouli tweeted, “Baahubali has given me opportunities to travel to a number of countries... The most exciting of them all is now, Pakistan. Thank you Pakistan international film festival, Karachi for the invite.” The four-day festival will begin on Thursday and conclude on April 1.

The uniqueness of the film stands in its idea, making and acting. The movie is based on the backdrop of a fictional mythological kingdom named Mahishmati. The story revolves around two cousins and their quest for the kingdom’s throne. The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia and Sathyaraj in the prime roles.

Also, Indian filmmaker Nandita Das will attend the first film festival of the country. As per the Director PiFF, Abrarul Hasan the schedule of the event will have feature length films, documentaries and short films, as well as seminars and workshops on topics like the use of film as a medium of social change. The organization received film submissions from 43 countries. Not only Baahubali 2 but other Indian films like Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dear Zindagi, Rajat Kapoor’s Ankhon Dekhi, Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar’s Hindi Medium, Sanjay Mishra’s Kadvi Hawa, Swara Bhasker’s Nil Battey Sannata and Marathi movie Sairat are also gracing the event.
