Popular Swedish musician and DJ, Tim Bergling, who is more known for his stage name Avicii, has sadly passed away at a very young age of 28. As per an official report from his publicist, he was found dead in Muscat, Oman. No official reason has been given for his demise.

Avicii's publicist Diana Baron gave out a general statement to the media, that read, "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given."

Avicii is quite a respected name in the music scene thanks to his work in the EDM music. Some of his famous hits include songs like Wake Me Up, Lonely Together, and Levels. He had won one Billboard Music Award, two MTV Music Awards, and had two Grammy nominations.

Avicii did have a checkered medical history thanks to having suffered acute pancreatitis. Many blamed his excessive drinking for this. Known for his worldwide DJ tours, Avicii had retired from touring in 2016, so that he can recover from the operation where his gallbladder and appendix had to be removed. However, he continued to produce music from his studio.

Rest in peace, Avicii! Your fans will always remember you through your hit songs! (with inputs from ANI)
