American actress Ariel Winter popularly known for her role as Alex Dunphy in the comedy series, Modern Family was trolled again for losing weight. The actress was called out after she posted unsuspecting photos in a checkered suit on Instagram ahead of her 21st birthday. Ariel often talks about body positivity through her Instagram posts and encourages women to love their body and ignore the negativity around, especially on social media.
However, Ariel was body-shamed for being "too thin" in her new pictures. A comment read: 'Whoa you slimmed down hella. Where are the curves?!' As many continued to inquire about her weight, some went on to say that Ariel had got plastic surgery. As trolls continued to call out Ariel, her fans came to her rescue. Ariel's supporters commented on the post saying that she was beautiful and should not pay heed to negative comments. Eventually, Ariel gave it back to the trolls. She wrote: 'I appreciate you wanting to help girls love themselves the way they are, but you are also kind of cutting someone (me) down. I also didn’t get plastic surgery. That is also not being supportive of women if you’re just assuming something about the way they look.' Earlier this month too, Ariel had given back to her trolls who said that she had taken drugs for weight loss. She was poked fun at after she posted a picture with boyfriend Levi Meaden from New Years' Eve. In the past too, Ariel has been subjected to various criticisms for her style choices. A comment read: 'Not half as bad as all the coke.meth she uses. She literally dropped 30 ponds [sic].' To which she replied making fun of the user misspelling 'pounds'.
Ariel's reply read: 'Yup... I dropped 30 bodies of water so fast. "And yes!! My psychiatrist switched me from my previous antidepressant that didn't work and made me gain weight, to coke/meth!! Definitely not a new one that worked and then regulated my metabolism. Coke/meth was a controversial decision but she stands by it'.
