Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt were one of the most talked about Bollywood BFFs until the Raazi actress started dating Ranbir Kapoor. Everybody knew that despite the all-praises interview that RK Jr gave post his split with Katrina the break-up was not an amicable one. Buzz suggests that amidst rumours of marriage, Ranbir developed a cold feet and ditched Katrina when she was completely unawares. There was a strain on the relationship, reports were that Katrina wanted to settle down, but Ranbir was not ready for marriage. To top it, the Sanju actor’s parents Neetu and Rishi Kapoor did not approve of Katrina. Things turned sour and Katrina exited their love nest in Bandra that they had moved into just a few months before the much talked about separation. Even though Katrina and Ranbir maintained staunch silence lines were drawn. Those close to Ranbir apparently avoided Katrina like plague. Kat reunited with her friends who she had to alienate thanks to her closeness with boyfriend. The duo worked together and even promoted their film Jagga Jasoos, but things were not the same.

When Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor walked in together for Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding reception in Mumbai along with their Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji, the paparazzi went crazy. Because buzz around Alia-Ranbir affair had started picking steam from October 2017. The new love birds were seen spending time together on New Years and photographs of their encounters post Ranbir’s split with Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan hinted that love was in the air. Even at Sonam’s reception, Alia was seen bonding with Katrina, while Ranbir made an early exit thanks to his father Rishi Kapoor’s brawl with Salman Khan’s family member. Things looked absolutely fine between the two beauties, that evening Alia shared her first picture with BF Ranbir and confirmed her affair with Bollywood’s Casanova. Soon news of their 2020 wedding started doing rounds. Alia was seen dining with Ranbir’s mother, sister and niece. Both the families openly started praising the young couple, hinting that the wedding may just happen.

Then came news of how Katrina and Alia’s cold war. Alia rubbished these rumours, but it was there for everyone to see on social media. The Udta Punjab actress tried hard to appease Katrina by liking all her posts, but there was no response. Everyone forgot about the brewing cold war between Ranbir current ladylove and ex-girlfriend. Katrina and Alia used to work out together with fitness expert Yasmin Karachiwala. Now there are rumours suggesting that Katrina, who shares a stronger bond with the trainer has stopped working with Alia. Buzz is also that it was Katrina who prompted this move as she has been associated with Yasmin for a longer span. And with Alia making an appearance on Karan Johar’ chat show, Koffee With Karan season 6 alongside Deepika Padukone, it only proves that things have indeed gone wrong between the BFFs. Because one thing most people in Bollywood and media are aware of is, Katrina-Deepika’s cold war. Such is the animosity between the two beauties that they cannot stand each other and the reason is none other than their ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
