Alia Bhatt's 'Prada' Song is a Copy? Pakistani Actress Mehwish Hayat Accuses Bollywood of Being a Hypocrite
While Alia Bhatt is happy to have made her music video debut with the Prada song from The Doorbeen, Pakistani media is clearly upset with its outcome. After certain Twitter users claimed the song is a copy of a Pakistani song, actress Mehwish Hayat has called out Bollywood for being a hypocrite. The same actress had previously slammed the new season of Sacred Games 2.
Alia Bhatt's Prada may be in troubled waters after a certain Pakistani Actress Mehwish Hayat has accused its composers of plagiarism. The actress claims this new song is a complete rip-off of a Pakistani song Gore Rang Ka Zamana from 'Vital Signs' album. The album was released in the early 90s by one of the country's band and the actress believes Bollywood industry is a hypocrite and they often steal Pakistani compositions.
Mehwish took to her Twitter account to start ranting against Alia Bhatt's new song and she was clearly upset with the entire episode. "I find this strange. On the one hand, Bollywood vilifies Pakistan at every opportunity they get. On the other, they continue to steal our songs. Copyright violation and royalty payments obviously mean nothing to them," she tweeted. "Now can we wake up, smell the coffee and see Bollywood's agenda for what it is? Shah Rukh Khan, be patriotic, nobody is stopping you - just don't do it at the expense of vilifying us," she continued while taking digs at Bollywood and B-town stars.

And Alia Bhatt's Prada song
Alia made her music video debut with this new song composed by The Doorbeen (Onkar Singh and Gautam Sharma). The duo earlier rose to fame with their chartbuster song Lamberghini. While Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar are all hearts for this song, we wonder what they and the actress have to say about this plagiarism issue.
