After the roaring success of Simmba, filmmaker has donated Rs 51 lakhs to Mumbai police. He donated this amount from the total earnings that the film has made so far. Starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, Simmba is a cop drama directed by Shetty. At the recent Umang Festival 2019, Rohit announced that he'd be giving away the sum to Mumbai Police. The director, along with Ranveer, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar handed over the prize money to Commissioner of Police at the event. Simmba Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's Cop Drama Mints Rs 239.48 Crore.

The worldwide box office Simmba has gone past the Rs 350 crore mark and is inching towards Rs 400 crore club. However, the domestic collections have come to a standstill because of films like Uri: the Surgical Strike, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Thackeray that released after Simmba. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to micro- blogging site Twitter a while and wrote, "#Simmba has slowed down considerably due to #Uri wave and the two significant releases [#Manikarnika and #Thackeray] taking away substantial screens + shows... [Week 5] Fri 12 lakhs, Sat 33 lakhs, Sun 35 lakhs. Total: ₹ 239.48 cr. India biz." He also tweeted, "#Simmba biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 150.81 cr, Week 2: ₹ 61.62 cr, Week 3: ₹ 20.06 cr, Week 4: ₹ 6.19 cr, Weekend 5: ₹ 80 lakhs, Total: ₹ 239.48 cr. India biz.
