Abhishek Bachchan is back in the movie business with Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan. After taking a break from films, Jr Bachchan returned to the silver screen with Kashyap, a filmmaker he’s said to have had massive misunderstandings with. The movie fared well and received good reviews from critics too. But did you know that Abhishek was offered Rohit Shetty’s Simmba? When Rohit approached Abhishek for Simmba, he was being considered for the role of villain opposite Ranveer Singh. We all know how the Padmaavat hero had beefed up for his part in the movie. Abhishek we hear was apprehensive playing a negative character. The actor is said to have reasoned with Shetty about how his previous movies where he played a villain failed to perform. Abhishek believes that the audience does not like seeing him play the baddie.

Abhishek’s loss has proved to be actor Sonu Sood’s gain. After walking out of Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika, Sonu we hear was happy to be roped in for Simmba. Sood and Abhishek share a warm bond and have also worked together in Farah Khan’s Happy New Year. Even though Abhishek isn’t working with Rohit, he is keeping a tab on the film and is often seen commenting on Sonu Sood’s shirtless pics on social media.
