Aadhaar Card Fraud: Urvashi Rautela’s Aadhaar Card Details Used to Book a Hotel Room

Scams and frauds have become the latest trend in the nation. While we are witnessing back to back such news constantly on the news channels, here comes a fresh one. This time it is actress Urvashi Rautela who fell prey to an Aadhaar Card fraud case. As per the latest media reports, police on Tuesday has registered a case of cheating, fraud and misusing the identity details of the actress. The details were apparently misused to book a hotel room in a star hotel in Bandra. The Bollywood diva became aware of this development only after she visited the star hotel to meet some advertising agency.
The hotel staff informed the Hate Story 4 actress that there was already a room booked by her name through online method, using her Aadhaar card details. Rautela stated in her complaint, “I asked my secretary about it and learnt that there is no booking being done and someone has misused my Aadhaar Card details to book a room in the star hotel,” reports TOI.
A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code sections for cheating and impersonation and under the IT Act against unidentified person. "Preliminary probe has revealed that the fraudsters have used her name, address details and her photo of Rautela to book the room online. However, the Aadhaar card number does not match. Probe is on to know the motive behind it,” said the officials.
Urvashi Rautela was last seen in Karan Wahi starrer Hate Story 4. She was also seen in Kaabil, Great Grand Masti and Sanam Re. The Miss Diva - 2015 first rose to fame with Honey Singh’s single Love Dose from album Desi Kalakaar.
