Umesh Shukla's directorial venture 102 Not Out starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor in the lead roles is out. The film has not exactly garnered great reviews as much more, than what has been offered,  was expected from the movie. Unfortunately-and matter of factly-the film has not impressed the critics hugely. No wonder therefore that 102 Not Out has managed to fetch not many stars with many critics opining that Rishi Kapoor is more impressive in the film than Big B.  Do take a look at what critics have to say about Kapoor senior's performance!

Ace film journalist and film critic Anupama Chopra writes" 102 Not Out is a testament to the talent of Rishi Kapoor. To paraphrase a line that Shakespeare wrote about Cleopatra – age cannot wither him nor custom stale his infinite variety. Here he plays Babu, a cantankerous 75-year-old who wants to be left alone in peace so he can die with a scowl on his face."

The reviewer from Scroll.in  says "Bachchan’s performance barely measures up to role he played in Piku (2015) as the father with a digestive tract crisis. Kapoor fares better, and is far more believable as the curmudgeonly Babulal who simply wants to be left alone.

Rishi Kapoor, post doing roles like Dadu in Kapoor & Sons and Rauf Lala in Agneepath, proves how there’s much more left in him, writes the reviewer from Koi Moi.  He has restricted his inner kid to pop out in the film by adapting a serious shade.

The film critic from Hindustan Times writes "Umesh Shukla ensures we go down the memory lane and remember our childhood and secretly sob as Rishi Kapoor silently unpacks his armour. While Amitabh Bachchan plays the anchor, Rishi becomes the glue that sticks the scenes together."

Reviewer from Rediff states that Rishi Kapoor steals the show! tthe film's seasoned stars possess enough comical heft to pull it off. Especially Rishi Kapoor. His scene-stealing delivery is the film's biggest ace and the biggest reason to watch him reunite with his co-star of several films including Kabhi Kabhie, where again they shared a father-son age gap.I found myself chuckling at Kapoor's idiosyncrasies, feeling his despair and vindicated/exhilarated by his outburst. The sequence where he walks down memory lane alone is testament to his artistic extensity. No one makes the viewer vulnerable like Rishi.
