Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) chief Farooq Abdullah congratulated Rahul Gandhi for standing firm on his ground to leave the Congress party’s president post, and said the Gandhi scion will work towards rebuilding the party and could become Congress chief in future. Senior party leader Salman Khurshid said that the Gandhi scion won’t cease to be “our leader”, similarly like Sonia Gandhi is no more Congress president but she is still “our leader”. Whereas Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) national spokesperson Nalin Kohli took a dig at Congress for being ‘family driven’, and said it is up to Rahul Gandhi to resign or continue, and that BJP has no role in internal affairs of Congress.
