New Delhi, September 13: Yamaha Motor India has launched its new sportsbike, the Yamaha R15M, with carbon fibre graphics, along with several improved features. Besides the design and features, the company also focused on the performance and riding experience. The Yamaha R15M is available in Metallic Grey and Carbon Fibre Pattern design. Both versions are priced differently for the Indian market.

The Yamaha M15 Metallic Gray is launched in India at INR 1.98 lakh, and the Yamaha M15 Carbon Fibre Pattern comes with an INR 2.08 lakh price tag. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The Carbon Fibre Pattern version is available at all the Yamaha Blue Square Showrooms across India, and the updated Metallic Grey version is available for purchase at all the Yamaha dealerships. Affordable Triumph Speed 400 Variant India Launch Expected on 17 September.

Yamaha M15 Specifications and Features

Besides bodywork, the Yamaha M15 boast a 155cc liquid-cooled four-stroke SOHC engine with four valves, mated with a 6-speed Constant Mesh transmission. The fuel-injected engine can deliver a maximum of 13.5 kW power at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The bike comes equipped with a Traction Control System and a Quick Shifter (up-shift). It includes a colour TFT metre inspired by R1 and offers Turn-By-Turn Navigation and Music Control.

The motorcycle has a super wide 140mm radial rear tyre that the company claims offersiders better grip and shock absorptions. The Y-Connect App on the Yamaha M15 ensures that the riders accurately navigate the road and find the shortest path while avoiding traffic jams. The bike has a 1,990mm length, 725mm width and a 1,135mm height. It has a 1,325mm wheelbase, 815mm seat height and 11-litre fuel tank capacity. The Carbon Fibre Pattern on the new Yamaha M15 is inspired by the legendary R1M's carbon fibre body panels, said the company. Additionally, the bike comes with dual-channel ABS, Disc brakes on the front and rear, and bi-functional LED.
