New Delhi, October 3: German automaker Volkswagen has launched two new models in India - Volkswagen Virtus GT Line and Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sport. These new models have been launched ahead of the festive season. Volkswagen already unveiled these new trims in India during an annual press conference in March 2024. Both of these sedans come with a set of new features and specifications for comfort, performance and design. 

Volkswagen Virtus GT Line price in India starts at INR 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sport India price starts at INR 17.84 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite having identical looks, the GT Line and GT Plus Sport are designed for different types of customers in India. According to the company, GT Line is "Built for those who live to uncover new paths, the Virtus GT Line is the ultimate companion for journeys both within and beyond the urban jungle." Volkswagen Virtus GT Line Specifications and Features 

Volkswagen Virtus GT Line trim comes with a 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine mated with a six-speed manual or torque converter automatic gearbox. Compared to the regular model, the new Virtus GT Line comes with several interior and exterior features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, keyless entry, touch-sensitive climate control, red-coloured ambient lighting and start or stop system. It has an all-black cabin with black leather and fabric seat upholstery with grey stitching. Moreover, it has black-coloured sun-visors, a black-coloured dashboard, aluminium pedals, and a black headliner and door trim treatment. 

Outside, the car boasts 16-inch Razor black alloy wheels, dark chrome finish on the door handles, blacked-out front grille, black window bar, black coloured "Virtus" on the boot lid, LED headlamps, LED DRLs and black-coloured spoiler on the boot lid. In terms of safety, the car features six airbags, traction control system, EBD, ESC, ABS, TPMS, hill hold assist, multi-collision brakes and fog lamps on the front and rear. 

Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sports Specifications and Features 

Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sports features a 1.5-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual and seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. In terms of interior upgrades, the Virtus GT Plus Sports comes with black-coloured grab handles, a sun visor, a headliner, door handles, and leatherette upholstery with red stitching that is also present on the steering wheel cover. It has aluminium pedals, a gloss black dashboard and red ambient lighting. In terms of exterior, the Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sports gets a black glossy front grille, LED headlamps, a windows bar, outside rearview mirrors and a gloss black spoiler. The Virtus GT Plus Sports sedan receives the letter "VIRTUS" on the boot lid. The car also gets 16-inch Razor black alloy wheels, dark chrome door handles and red-themed front brake callipers. The trim also gets a glossy black Aerokit.
