Toyota Yaris 2018 Pre-Bookings Open at Rs 50,000; India Launch Next Month
The all-new Toyota Yaris 2018 sedan will be launched in the domestic market next month which can be pre-booked with token amount of Rs. 50,000.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is all set to launch the new Yaris sedan in the domestic market by next month. Meanwhile, the Japanese car maker has officially started taking pre-bookings for the new Yaris sedan at all authorized Toyota Dealerships across the country. Interested buyers can book the upcoming 2018 Toyota Yaris sedan with a token amount of Rs. 50,000. To be offered in 4 trim levels, the sedan will get a starting price of Rs. 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom) when launched in the country. The sedan was officially unveiled at the Auto Expo earlier this year.
As far as the technical specifications are concerned, the upcoming 2018 Toyota Yaris sedan will be offered with a single engine option only. The unit is a 1.5-Liter Dual VVTi petrol engine which can produce 109 PS of maximum power with peak torque of 140 Nm. The motor will come mated to a 7-speed CVT gearbox or 6-speed manual unit.
Inside the cabin, the new Toyota Yaris sedan sports a Piano Black Interiors complemented by Waterfall design Instrumental Panel. Feature-wise, the sedan comes equipped with High Solar Energy Absorbing (HSEA), IR cut, Acoustic & Vibration Control Glass for Windshield & Doors for quieter cabin, Power Driver Seat, Roof mounted air vents with ambient illumination for rear passengers, Adjustable Rear Centre Headrest, 60:40 Split Rear Seats, Smart Entry with Push Start, Hand /Air Gesture controlled Infotainment system with Touch Screen Navigation, Paddle Shift for CVT + Cruise Control and more.
On the safety front, the sedan is loaded with 7 airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), vehicle stability control, front and rear parking sensors, 4-wheel disc brakes and more. As far as the pricing is concerned, the base variant will be priced at Rs. 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom) while the top-of-the-line model will see a price tag of Rs. 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched in India, the mid-sized sedan will rival Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and others in the C2 sedan space.
