New Delhi, August 29: Homegrown auto giant Tata Motors is busy working on the new facelift models of its highly established Nexon SUV and its EV version. In the current Indian automotive market, the Tata Nexon EV is the top-selling electric vehicle (EV).
As per reports, the new refreshed avatars of the Tata Nexon EV and its ICE counterpart are going to be unveiled on September 14, while going on sale soon after right in the upcoming festive season, when car sales soar. Tata Nexon EV Facelift – Expected Updates
As per reports, the Tata Nexon EV facelift is going to come endowed with substantial exterior styling updates, similar to its ICE version. The Tata Nexon EV facelift will come with design inspiration from the Tata Curvv Concept EV. The reports also say that the EV will also come with subtle styling elements inspired from the Harrier EV’s design.
Going by the Tata Nexon EV facelift’s spy shots, the model will be featuring new split LED headlights, revamped LED daytime running lights, a restyled front grille as well as bumper. The rear façade of the Nexon EV facelift will be flaunting new LED taillights and refreshed bumper, while the side profile will feature newly designed alloy wheels. The Nexon EV facelift as well as its ICE counterpart are also expected to come endowed with new features, which would include a larger 10.25-inch digital touchscreen display replacing the current 7-inch display. Other expected changes include an updated digital driver display, new two-spoke steering wheel and new upholstery. The new updated Nexon EV is also expected to get 6 airbags as standard, parking sensors and a 360-degree camera system for heightened safety.
The refreshed Tata Nexon EV is expected to carry over its under the hood bits, including its two distinct battery pack choices - a 30.2 kWh battery offering up to 312 km range, and a 40.5 kWh battery in the Nexon EV Max delivering a range of up to 453 km. Post its launch, the new refreshed Tata Nexon EV will continue to fight with the likes of the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona.
