Tata Nexon AMT Booking Starts at Rs 11,000; Expected Price, Launch Date, Images, Interior & Specifications
Tata Nexon AMT was previously unveiled at Auto Expo 2018 which is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 7 lakh to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
After showcasing the new Tata Nexon AMT at Auto Expo earlier this year, the homegrown automaker has officially started taking bookings for its first sub-4m SUV – Nexon in the Indian market. Slated to be launched next month, the Nexon AMT will be available on the top-end XZA+ variant. The only visual difference between manual and AMT variant is latest dual-tone colour scheme along with the new badging at the rear. Interested buyers can pre-book the new Nexon AMT at all the Tata Motors dealerships across the country with token amount of Rs 11,000. Under the hood, the Nexon AMT will be offered on both petrol and diesel engines with the same powertrain options seen on the manual version. The petrol unit is a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that is capable of making 110 bhp of maximum power against the peak torque of 170Nm. The oil burner, on the other hand, is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel that can make 110 bhp and 260 Nm of power figures. Both the engines will be mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Moreover, the AMT variant can also be used in manual mode too wherein the ‘Sport’ drive mode is selected automatically. Tata Nexon also comes with 3 driving modes - Eco, City, and Sport. The AMT variant also comes with Hill assist function for ascend and descends. The AMT version also comes with creep function that adds convenience for driving in slow moving traffic conditions. Fitted with HyprDrive Self-Shift Gears, the Tata Nexon AMT will take on the players such as Ford EcoSport AT & Mahindra TUV300 AT in the automatic segment of sub-4m space. Tata Motors is looking to cater the increasing popularity of AMT vehicles in the domestic market. With the introduction of AMT derivative, the Nexon SUV will hold a strong position in the segment.
