New Delhi, June 11: Tata is set to launch four electric cars by FY26 and bring customers the latest technologies and modern features. Tata electric vehicles (EVs) have been available in the Indian market at lower prices than the competition with much desired features. According to recent reports, Tata Motors has been working on expanding its EV charging network and introducing new models like Tata Harrier EV, Tata Sierra EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Tata Avniya EV. As per a new report, the launch timeline of these models has been announced.

Besides launching new EVs in India, Tata Motors is expected to expand its public charging network to 1,00,000 chargers from the current 10,000 numbers. Moreover, the company announced that it would expand the community charging network to 1,00,000 from the current estimated 4,300 numbers.

The announcement of Tata Motors also confirmed that the upcoming electric cars would feature high energy density batteries, allowing people to enjoy fast charging. The Harrier, Curvv, Sierra and Avinya EVs would also have high-performance electric motors and four-wheel drive (4WD) drivetrains. 

Features, Upgrades on Upcoming Tata EVs in FY25 and FY25

The report said that the upcoming Tata Motors electric vehicles would run on an EV-specific interface and offer new displays in terms of features. Tata Curvv EV coming in FY25 is expected to offer up to 500 kilometres claimed range on the top model. The lower spec version, on the other hand, is scheduled with less range. The report also suggested that Tata Motors had already filed Tata Sierra EV's design patent. This SUV is expected to have to have a 4x4 system and an electric all-drive (AWD) system. Further, the Tata Avinya EV is expected to have claimed a 500-kilometre range featuring dual electric motors. Each of these motors would power one axle and take the power to all four car wheels. The report also hinted at a quad-motor setup in the works.
