Tata Harrier 2019 Specifications, Features and Images have been revealed online ahead of its official India launch.
Tata Motors, a home-grown automaker has been teasing the much awaited Harrier SUV for quite some time now. The Indian car maker is looking to score a home-run with upcoming SUV by taking wraps off from the specifications, features and other essential details. The car maker has listed all the details about the forthcoming Tata Harrier SUV on its official website ahead of the launch. Slated to be launched early next year, the company claims that the SUV is based on OMEGA ARC platform. When launched, the 5-seater SUV will compete against Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur, Jeep Compass and the upcoming Nissan Kicks. Inside the cabin, the SUV comes with dual shade scheme featuring black and brown theme with faux wood inserts along with premium fabric design and leather upholstery. On the feature front, the new Tata Harrier 2019 gets 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto with Navigation, MirrorLink, auto climate control, 9-speaker JBL audio system, multi-function steering wheel, push start-stop button, a semi-digital instrument console, height adjustable driver's seat, and a cooled glove-box and much more.
Under the hood, the SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec 4-cylinder diesel engine, which is capable of producing 138 bhp of maximum power @ 3750 rpm with peak torque of 350 Nm between 1750-2500 rpm. Moreover, the engine is basically Fiat-sourced MultiJet diesel which is also seen on Jeep Compass. The motor comes with an e-VGT (Electric Variable Geometry Turbocharger) and also comes with advanced EGR and After Treatment System. Transmission duties will be carried out by 6-speed manual gearbox only. The SUV will be seen in a single diesel avatar with manual only at the time of launch.
The company will be carry forwarding the three driving modes that we have already seen on Nexon that are City, Eco and Sport. The 5-seater SUV will also get Terrain Response System along with Normal, Rough and Wet modes. The SUV will be offered in 4 variants - XE, XM, XT and XZ. Moreover, the colour options include Thermisto Gold, Calisto Copper, Arial Silver, Telesto Grey and Orcus White.
