Tata Motors, a popular homegrown automaker certainly seems to have changed its product strategy for the domestic market. With the new models based on IMPACT design philosophy, Tata Motors gave the much required reboot to its product lineup which is expected to continue for the future models as well. The homegrown automaker showcased H5X SUV and 45X premium hatchback concepts at the Auto Expo 2018. The car maker is also gearing up to launch the AMT version of its first sub-compact SUV - NEXON in India soon which was also unveiled at the biennial motor show earlier this year. Coming to the futuristic concepts, both the products will be premium offering from the car maker when launched in the country. The H5X concept will turn out to be a premium SUV while the 45X concept will be rolled out as a premium hatchback. As per the market reports, it is believed that the development of both the products is in fast line. Moreover, Tata Motors' PV business unit President - Mayank Pareek confirmed that the premium SUV will be launched in the country by the first quarter of 2018 while 45X premium hatch will be launched in the second half.

Moreover, the company will focus on developing an entire suite of various products such as sedans and others that are not been offered from Tata. The upcoming Tata H5X will be the first product from Tata's stable that will be based on Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture (OMEGA) which is derived from legendary Land Rover D8 - claims Tata. Expected to carry Impact Design 2.0 philosophy, the production model of the premium H5X SUV is likely to be powered by a 2.0-liter Multijet diesel engine that currently does duty on Jeep Compass. Slated to be positioned against Jeep Compass, the upcoming H5X SUV is expected to fall in the price bracket of Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, Tata 45X will be premium hatchback that will be pitted against Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Baleno and others.
