Tata Motors, the home-grown automaker is all set to launch the new Altroz premium hatchback in India. According to the company, the premium hatchback will be introduced in India by next month. Though the official launch date is not yet official, some dealers reportedly seems to have commenced the pre-bookings for the upcoming Tata Altroz. According to the market reports, Tata dealers in Mumbai and Delhi are reportedly accepting bookings for the new Altroz car with upfront payment of Rs 25,000. It is also believed that the bookings of the car will begin in Chennai from December 4 with token amount of Rs 21,000. Moreover, the company has already rolled out the first Altroz hatchbacl from its assembly line at its Chakan plant. The forthcoming Altroz hatch will be Tata's first model to be built on the ALFA architecture, which is based on 45X concept that was showcased at last year's Auto Expo.

On the exterior front, the new Tata Altroz premium hatchback will sport Tata's signature-style humanity line with glossy black design that will be flanked by nicely designed headlights with integrated indicators. Moreover, the secondary lamp is positioned below the LED DRLs. Additionally, the car will sport twin-four spoke alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and blacked roof.

On the inside, the car will be feature-loaded with a large touchscreen infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility along with navigation. On the feature-front, the car will be equipped with automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, push-button start-stop, cruise control, puddle lamps and more. Though the technical specifications are yet to be announced, the new Altroz from Tata Motors could be equipped with 1.2-litre Turbocharged petrol unit, which will be BS6 compliant engine. It is the same engine that is also offered on Tata Nexon. As of now, there is no official detail about the diesel unit of Tata Altroz. Once launched, the new Altroz will taken Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo and others.
