Tata Motors is expected to launch the new Tata 45X premium hatchback in the country by the second half of next year while H5X premium SUV will be introduced by the first quarter of 2019.
With aggressive product strategy, Tata Motors is more inclined towards revamping its product line-up in the domestic market. The car maker will be launching the AMT avatar of the Nexon sub-4m SUV in India soon as the car maker has already initiated the bookings in India. Tata Motors unveiled the new futuristic products - Tata H5X and Tata 45X at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo in February. The AMT iteration of NEXON SUV will further strengthen Tata's product offering in the compact SUV space. With the increasing demand for the premium hatches in the country, Tata Motors is too willing to launch a new product in the premium hatchback space. Confirming the same, the company showcased the 45X concept at the motor show earlier this year. Moreover, it is believed that the 45X premium hatchback will be introduced in the country by the second half of 2019.
Talking about the design, the concept gets a sporty silhouette and aerodynamic lines that highlights the overall appeal. Moreover, the 45X concept also gets signature-style humanity line, dual-LED headlights, and sleek looking lower grille at the front. While, the rear sees a slingshot line design which is underlined by a chrome finisher. Other notable elements of the hatchback are Surfboard mounted wing cameras, dual-tone body, full LED tail lamps and more. Under the hood, the production version of 45X premium hatchback is expected to borrow powertrain options from the Tiago hatchback - 1.2-litre petrol and 1.05-litre diesel engine. However, it is also reported that the hatch could get Nexon sourced engines in spite of Tiago's. Transmission duties could be carried out by manual gearbox as standard and dual clutch automatic as an option.
