Suzuki Burgman Street 125 Scooter Launching in India Tomorrow; Expected Price, Features, Specifications, Bookings & More

Expected to be priced under Rs. 70,000 (ex-showroom), the new Suzuki Burgman Street 125cc scooter will compete with TVS Ntorq, Honda Grazia, Aprilia SR 125 & others.

Suzuki Motorcycles India will be launching the new Burgman Street 125cc premium scooter in the country tomorrow. The scooter made its official India debut earlier this year at Auto Expo 2018, which will be Japanese manufacturer's third offering in the 125cc space. With Suzuki Access currently ruling the segment regarding volume, the new Burgman Street will be the first maxi-scooter in the segment. Borrowing several components from Gixxer, the upcoming Suzuki Burgman scooter will share its underpinning with Access. The overall design of the scooter is highly inspired by the elder brother - Burgman 650 which comes with a broad apron at the front that is coupled with a tall windscreen. The scooter also gets full LED headlights with LED DRLs that enhances the overall appeal while the apron integrates into turn indicators. To be equipped with a step-up style seat, the new Suzuki Burgman scooter will sport full LCD panel displaying relevant information on the odometer, speedometer, fuel range, clock and more.

Powering the new Suzuki Burgman maxi scooter is the same 124 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine offered on the Access 125. The unit is capable of developing 8.6 bhp of max power and peak torque of 10.2 Nm, which comes mated to a CVT unit. With the new safety standards coming into effect, the maxi-scooter also gets a Combined Braking System (CBS) that was also made standard on Access 125 scooter.

When launched in India, the new Suzuki Burgman Street will heat up the segment by competing against TVS Ntorq, Aprilia SR 125, Honda Grazia, Honda Activa 125 and others in the segment. The scooter is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 70,000 (ex-showroom).
