Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 India Launch Tomorrow; Expected Prices, Specifications, Bookings & Features

Royal Enfield will be revealing the India prices for the much awaited 650 Twins tomorrow at Rider Mania 2018 in Goa.

After a long wait, Royal Enfield is all set to launch the new 650 Twins in India tomorrow. However, this will rather be a price announcing event as the company has already launched the motorcycle in the global market. The two-wheeler manufacturer will announce the prices of the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 at Rider Mania 2018 in Goa. Moreover, unofficial bookings for the motorcycles are already underway with upfront payment of Rs 5000. Royal Enfield Showcases Continental GT 650 Twin and Interceptor INT 650.

The deliveries for the motorcycles are expected to commence by the end of this month. Some sources also reveal that the deliveries will start by January next year. Both the motorcycles will be powered by an all-new 648cc air cooled engine, but they differ in terms of design and aesthetic. The unit is an air and oil cooled parallel twin engine capable of making 47.6 PS and 53Nm of power figures. And, the engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The bikes will come with 18-inch spoke wheels with Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres.

The deceleration duties are carried out by disc brakes up front and rear with standard dual-channel ABS. Coming to the prices, the new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 will be priced as competitive as Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). If launched that this price point, the RE Interceptor will become the most affordable twin cylinder middleweight motorcycle in the market. Not only that the motorcycle will also undercut Kawasaki's Ninja 300, offering better value for money proposition. On the other hand, the RE Continental GT 650 is likely to be priced around Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
