The wait for the Indian fans finally will come to an end with Royal Enfield launching its highly awaited 650 Twins in India today. The all-new Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 motorcycles were revealed globally at EICMA 2017 followed by India debut at Rider Mania 2017. Now, the company will be launching the motorcycles in India just ahead of Rider Mania 2018, which commences on November 16. As a reminder, the company also showcased the motorcycles at this year's Milan motor show along with KX concept. Both Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 motorcycles come equipped with an all-new 648cc air-and oil-cooled parallel twin engine. The unit is capable of making 47.6 PS and 52Nm of power figures. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and it also comes with assist and slipper clutch for seamless gearshifts. Equipped on double cradle frame, the motorcycles packs 41mm telescopic forks upfront with 110mm travel whereas the rear section gets a twin coil shocks with 88mm of travel. In terms of dimensions, the motorcycle measures 2122mm in length, wheelbase of 1165mm, 789mm in height along with ground clearance of 174mm. The deliveries for the motorcycles are rumoured to commence by early next year. However, exact details will be revealed at the launch event. Moreover, Royal Enfield dealers have already started unofficial bookings for the motorcycles with upfront payment of Rs 5000.
