After introducing taxi hailing services in Bath and Exeter in November last year, Ola UK has officially launched Green Tuk-Tuks in Liverpool. Introduced with an aim to surpass Uber, the Green Tuk-Tuks fleet includes Bajaj and Piaggio auto rickshaws. As part of Ola's launch in the Merseyside region, the company offered free ride to people around Liverpool City Centre area. As a part of the launch, Ola UK offered free rides to the passengers around the city on the first two days of the operation. To attract more customers, the company is also offering 50 percent off to the customers downloading the app before the end of April. Moreover, the company also mentioned that it will providing more options to the customers. Also, the Indian company also stated that it will offer larger share of the fare to the drivers in comparison to Uber.

“I have been driving passengers around the city today and have really enjoyed the chance to discuss the challenges that the community faces and how we can help with our new technology, Managing Director of Ola UK Ben Legg said, adding: “We are celebrating bringing more travel and employment choices to Liverpudlians with our ride-hailing app with the help of the community choir.”

As a reminder, the Ola entered the UK market by initiating services in the Cardiff around August last year. Later on, Ola also introduced services in Bristol in the month of October. Moreover, Liverpool is the fifth market for Ola in UK that marks its expansion in the Northern region of England.
