No Diesel Cars From Maruti Suzuki From Next Year; To Discontinue All Models in India By April 2020

Maruti Suzuki India is planning to discontinue all the diesel models from April 2020 in the Indian market.

New Delhi, Apr 25: The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Thursday said it will phase out all diesel cars from its portfolio with effect from April 1, 2020. "From April 1, 2020 we will not be selling diesel cars," MSI Chairman RC Bhargava told reporters here. 2019 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Featuring Smart Hybrid Technology With BS6 Compliant Engine Launched; Priced in India at Rs 5.58 Lakh

The company currently sells a range of diesel vehicles. Around 23 per cent of all units sold by the company in the domestic market currently are diesel cars.
