Mumbai, October 11: Yamaha Motor Company has officially taken the wraps off of the latest iteration of the R3 supersport motorcycle. The bike gets much-needed updates for MY2025 after staying untouched since the last update, which was rolled out in 2019. As a part of the update, the new Yamaha R3 gets a revamped design with a host of new features. The Japanese two-wheeler maker could launch the updated model in India very soon, probably by early 2025. It will lock horns with the Aprilia RS457 and Kawasaki Ninja 500.
Aesthetically, the all-new Yamaha R3 now looks much sharper and more aggressive than the predecessor thanks to revised front fascia. The design is further complemented by sleek-looking DRLs flanking projector LED headlight placed inside an air-intake-like setup. The side fairings see a minor tweak which is neatly tucked and extends into the tail section, giving a sportier look than the outgoing model. Feature-wise, the Yamaha R3 is now equipped with a new colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The Japanese bike manufacturer has also reduced the bike’s seat width, aiding riders to put their feet down. For suspension, the supersport motorcycle gets KYB-sourced USD front forks and a rear monoshock. The braking duties are handled by a single disc at both ends assisted by dual-channel ABS. 2025 Kawasaki Vulcan S Motorcycle Launched in India.
The mechanical front of the 2025 Yamaha R3 remains the same as that of the predecessor. It continues to get a 321cc parallel-twin engine paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox with slip and assist clutch. The motor produces 41.42 bhp of maximum power against 29.5 Nm of peak torque.
