New Mahindra XUV500 Facelift: Price in India, Launch Date, Images, Interior, Features & Review

Mahindra & Mahindra, country's leading utility maker is gearing up to launch the much awaited 2018 Mahindra XUV500 facelift in the domestic market soon. Expected to hit the showroom by mid of April, the updated Mahindra XUV500 2018 is expected to sport comprehensive makeover. Moreover, the company has also started dispatching the updated XUV500 to the authorized dealers as the vehicle has been spotted at the stockyard recently. The new version of Mahindra XUV500 is likely to be seen with two new colour options (Mystic Cooper and Crimson Red) and 5 trim levels - W5, W7, W9, W11 and W11.

On the exterior front, the new Mahindra XUV500 will sport major cosmetic upgrades featuring all-new chrome finished 6-slot radiator grille, revamped front bumper, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, tweaked tail light design, redesigned tail gate and much more. Inside the cabin, the SUV maker is making efforts to proffer a premium look to the cabin. It is expected to get leather seats with quilted cross stitching and hi-tech features such as touchscreen infotainment system, driving statistics, fuel economy statistics, tyre pressure monitoring system and much more.

As far as the engine specifications are concerned, the facelifted avatar of Mahindra XUV500 is expected to be offered in both petrol and diesel versions. While, the petrol version will be seen with a 2.2-litre petrol engine which develops 140 hp of max power, the diesel variant could be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel with 2 state of tunes - 155hp (top-end variant) and 140hp(lower variants). The unit will also get 6-generation turbocharger along with new ‘eVGT’ technology.

On the price front, the new Mahindra XUV500 is expected to get a price hike of approximately Rs. 30,000 over the current model. We speculate that the new model could get a starting price of Rs. 13 lakh to Rs. 19 lakh (ex-showroom). The forthcoming Mahindra XUV500 will compete against the likes of Jeep Compass, Toyota Innova Crysta, Renault Captur, Hyundai Creta SUV and Tata Hexa.
