Hyundai India is all set to launch the new 2018 Hyundai Santro, an entry level small car in India by next week. The small car will replace the Hyundai Eon, which has been discontinued currently in India. Though the exterior design is still under wraps, the spy image managed to reveal the dashboard and other interior details. The top end variant of the small car will feature a 7-inch touchscreen system which will be compatible with MirrorLink, voice commands, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The image also reveals that the new Santro will sport a chronograph-style instrument cluster with a large tachometer and a speedometer. The steering wheel of the new Santro looks similar to Grand i10 and Xcent with audio and telephony controls. Coming to the powertrain options, the all-new Hyundai Santro will be powered by a 1.1-litre petrol unit, which will be tuned to make maximum power of 69 bhp and 99Nm of peak torque. The CNG variant of Santro will make 59bhp and 78Nm of power figures. Transmission duties will be carried out by 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT unit. The South Korean automaker is already taking pre-bookings for the new Santro with upfront payment of Rs 11,000. Some reports claim that the prices of the new Santro has been leaked online, which is believed to start from Rs 3.87 lakh (ex-showroom) and will go up to Rs 5.38 lakh (ex-showroom). The car maker will reveal the prices of the small car on October 23.
