Maruti Suzuki India is all set to launch the next generation WagonR hatchback in India on January 23, 2019. Ahead of its India launch, the official brochure of the new 2019 WagonR has been leaked online. The brochure reveals all the variant details and specifications of the forthcoming hatchback. Once launched, the new Maruti WagonR 2019 will be pitted against the likes of Hyundai Santro, Datsun GO and Tata Tiago. The new Maruti WagonR is likely to be offered in 6 paint schemes - Superior White, Silky Silver, Magma Grey, Autumn Orange, Nutmeg Brown and Poolside Blue. As per the leaked brochure, the new WagonR will come in three trim levels - LXi, VXi and ZXi. It also reveals that the Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) will be offered on VXi and ZXi variants. In terms of dimensions, the new WagonR will measure 3655mm in length, 1620mm in width and 1675mm in height along with wheelbase of 2435mm. The car will also come fitted a 32-litre fuel tank.
On the exterior front, the new Maruti WagonR will come with a rectangular grille sporting chrome strip in the centre, which is flanked by large sweptback headlamps. The small car will also be seen flaunting a dual-tone bumper with 3-slat air dam with fog lamps. The hatchback will be retaining its tall boy stance with vertically stacked tail lamp clusters at the back. Additionally, the car will also get ORVMs with integrated turn signals, 14-inch wheels and much more. Under the hood, the new WagonR will be offered in two engine options. The LXi variant will come powered by 998cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which will generate 67BHP @ 5500 rpm along with peak torque of 90Nm @ 3500 rpm. On the other hand, the top-end ZXi and ZXi AGS trims will be powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol mill that will produce 82 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque @ 4,200 rpm. On the other hand, the VXi and VXi AGS variants will also be offered with both 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre engines.
