Renault India has officially launched the refreshed version of its Kwid range in the domestic market. Offered in 800cc and 1.0-litre variants, the prices for the small car remains unchanged. It starts from Rs. 2.66 lakh (ex-showroom) up to Rs. 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Renault Kwid now comes with an updated grille that accentuates the overall appeal of the car. Moreover, the exterior appeal of the small car is enhanced by chrome trims offered on the higher variants. Also, the new 2018 model of Kwid comes in 6 exciting exterior colours.
Moreover, Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) equipped rear seat belts are now offered as standard fitment on the small car. As far as the features are concerned, the top-spec Kwid RXT (O) is equipped with a reverse camera, whereas the AMT variant is fitted with Traffic Assist feature that is similar to the creep function seen on AMT vehicles from other car makers. The small car now also comes with front power windows and remote central locking, 12V socket, chrome trim on the centre console, rear centre armrest and much more. Adding safety to the car, Renault India has equipped the safety-oriented features such as ABS and rear parking sensors. Moreover, the French automaker has started focusing on the significant facelift of the Kwid, which will be crash-test worthy before the new norms become mandatory in 2020.
Priced in the range of Rs. 2.66 lakh - Rs. 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom), the new 2018 Renault Kwid will be pitted against the likes of Hyundai Eon, Maruti Alto, Tata Tiago and other cars in the Indian market. The carmaker is also offering the new 2018 Kwid with 4-year/1 lakh km warranty that comprises regular 2-year/50,000 km extended warranty as well.
