New 2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift Top Variant - W11 (O) in Demand; Price in India, Features & Specifications

Launched in the Indian market last month, Mahindra XUV500 Facelift 2018 comes with an option of petrol and diesel engines.

It was last month when Mahindra and Mahindra launched the much awaited 2018 Mahindra XUV500 facelift in the Indian market. Going by the recent market reports, it is believed that the top-end variant of the new XUV500 facelift is very much demand. As the top-spec variant is priced around Rs. 4000 lesser than the W10 trim of the predecessor, the variant has been much demand from the market claims the dealer. The top-end W11 (O) variant comes loaded with features such as sunroof, smart watch connectivity, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy rims, updated tailgate design, plush cabin, electrically adjustable driver seat and much more. Mahindra has also added two new colors to the new XUV500 facelift which includes Crimson Red and Mystic Copper wherein the latter is a popular choice among the buyers. Moreover, Pearl White shade too has contributed to the sales that the dealers have managed to receive since launch.

As per the report from AutoCar, the dealers have claimed that the refreshed version of Mahindra XUV500 is doing better in terms of numbers in comparison to its predecessor. The previous model saw a dip in volumes which went till 1481 units in the financial year. Moreover, the monthly bookings for Mahindra’s latest model at every dealership has went up to 35 units in urban areas while the interest in the Tier II cities per dealership has increased to 15 units. An executive at Delhi-based dealership stated that “Bookings for the XUV started almost 20 days ahead of the launch, but have almost doubled after the car’s gone on display.” Mahindra owned Pininfarina Unveils K350 All-Electric SUV Concept at Beijing Motor Show 2018.

Coming to the engine specifications, the new Mahindra XUV500 comes with a choice of petrol and diesel engines wherein the former is a 2.2 L mHawk turbo unit while the latter is a 2.2 L mHawk155 engine. The petrol engine makes 140 bhp and 320 Nm of power while the diesel is capable of developing 155 bhp and 360 Nm. Transmission duties includes 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic and AWD is is offered as an option in the W11 (O) MT and AT grades only.
