Maruti Suzuki India, a leading automaker has silently recalled three of its popular models - Vitara Brezza, Baleno and S-Cross in India. According to the report from TeamBHP, the car maker has issued a recall for three models over an issue with the steering wheel. However, an official statement regarding the same from Maruti Suzuki India is still awaited. Previously, the company also recalled 52686 units of Baleno and Swift for fixing the brake vacuum hose. As per the report from the publication, the car maker has sent out an email to its service centers regarding the issue. The email mentions that if the customer reports about the sticky movement of the steering wheel or any sort of abnormal noise, then the complete steering wheel column should be replaced. The company has also mentioned that the replacement of the same should be carried out without any cost. Also, the steering column will come with an extended warranty of 3 years. The Indo-Japanese car maker has not made any official announcement regarding the same. It is more like a campaign as the issue is claimed to be a minor one. It also does not hamper the functioning or the safety of the vehicle. The customer experiencing a clicking noise from the steering wheel, then they can visit the nearest service centre for rectifying the concern. On the other hand, Maruti Baleno, Vitara Brezza and S-Cross are doing well in terms of volumes for the car maker. Maruti Vitara Brezza is a currently the leader in the sub-compact SUV space, whereas the premium hatchback segment is dominated by Maruti Baleno.
