Maruti Suzuki India, country's leading automaker has officially announced a recall for the new 2018 Maruti Swift and Baleno hatchbacks for the domestic market. As a part of the service campaign, the Indo-Japanese car maker is recalling around collective 52,686 units of Baleno and Swift for inspecting any possible issue related to brake vacuum hose as listed on its Nexa website. The new Maruti Swift and Maruti Baleno vehicles manufactured in the time frame of December 1, 2017 to March 16, 2018 are affected by the brake vacuum hose which will be covered under the campaign. The dealers will start contacting the owners from May 14 for inspecting their vehicles and carrying out the replacement of the faulty part.
As a reminder, the service campaigns are usually announced by the automobile companies for rectifying the faults that may potentially cause inconvenience to the owners. Moreover, the inspection of the vehicle and replacement of the fault part is done absolutely free of cost for the customer.
As far as the recalls from MSI are concerned, it is not the first time that Maruti has recalled Baleno for the first time. It was around May 2016 when the company announced a recall of 75,419 units of the premium hatchback with the issue related to airbags. This is not the first time the Baleno has been recalled. On the other hand, the company will be launching slew of new products in the Indian market this year which includes new generation Ertiga MPV, updated Maruti Vitara Brezza, and 3rd generation Maruti WagonR.
