Maruti Swift 2018 Limited Edition with New Features Launched; Priced in India at Rs 4.99 Lakh

The new Maruti Suzuki Swift limited edition is offered in both petrol and diesel versions that is priced from Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

After bagging success with 2018 Swift, Maruti Suzuki India has officially launched the limited edition of Swift hatchback in India. The Indo-Japanese car maker launched the new Swift hatchback in the country earlier this year at Auto Expo 2018. Moreover, the third generation Swift is amongst the most popular hatchbacks currently retailing in the country. To boost the sale figures during the festive season, the company has rolled out a special edition of the Swift hatchback that is priced at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Maruti Suzuki Swift special edition sports a host of new equipment as a part of package. The limited edition model is priced same as that of the regular LXi /LDi variants, but comes loaded with new additional features such as Bluetooth stereo system, two speakers and blackened wheel caps. The special edition also gets dual airbags along with ABS, reverse parking assist and power windows (front) as standard fitment. As far as the engine specs are concerned, the powertrain options on the limited edition Swift remains untouched. The new special edition Swift 2018 is also offered in petrol and diesel avatars like-wise the regular version. The petrol engine is a 1.3-litre K series unit that is capable of making 83 bhp of maximum power along with 113Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is capable of developing 74Bhp of max power against 190Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Based on the same lightweight Heartect platform as that of the regular Swift 2018, the limited edition is also 10% to 15% lighter than the second generation Swift. The Maruti Swift 2018 competes against the likes of Honda Brio, Hyundai Grand i10, upcoming Ford Figo, Tata Tiago and others in the hatchback space.
