Maruti Suzuki India, country's leading car manufacturer has announced a recall campaign for the new Wagon R. It is important to note that this recall is particularly for the 1-litre petrol variants only. A total of 40,000 units manufactured between November 15, 2018 and August 12, 2019 are recalled by the manufacturer to inspect a possible issue of fuel hose fouling with the metal clamp. Maruti Suzuki XL6 Premium MPV Launched; Priced in India From Rs 9.79 Lakh.

The 1.2-litre variant of Maruti WagonR remains unaffected by the recall. As a reminder, the new generation WagonR was introduced in the country earlier this year.

Starting from August 24 onwards, the owners of the affected or suspected vehicles will be contacted by the Maruti Suzuki authorised dealers. They will inspect and replace the part, which will be done free of cost.

Moreover, the suspected customers of WagonR can visit Maruti's official website to check if their car needs any attention. They can do this by simply entering the chassis number on tne website. The owners can also verify the chassis number from car's ID plate as well as through registeration or invoice documents.
