Maruti Suzuki is all set to expand its product portfolio for the Indian market. The car maker will be launching the new Maruti S-Presso mini SUV in the country today. Maruti will be looking to gain the market share with the launch of Maruti S-Presso during the festive period.

India's leading auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is all set to expand its product portfolio for the Indian market. The car maker will be launching the new Maruti S-Presso mini SUV in the country today. Maruti will be looking to gain the market share with the launch of Maruti S-Presso during the festive period. The company has already revealed the images of the upcoming S-Presso mini SUV after officially teasing the car online. Maruti will be launching the new S-Presso SUV. The launch event of Maruti S-Presso is scheduled to commence at 11:30AM, which will be streamed online via YouTube channel and Facebook account. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Maruti S-Presso will borrow its powertrain from Alto K10, which is a 1.0-litre, BS6 compliant unit. The engine will be tuned to make 67 bhp of power @ 5500 rpm against 90Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties will be taken care by a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard along with AMT unit. The new Maruti S-Presso will be offered in 4 trim levels - Standard, LXI, VXI & VXI+ in total of 10 variants. The micro SUV will also get standard safety features like ABS with EBD and reverse parking sensors. Additionally, the top-end variant of the mini SUV will be loaded with a 7-inch Smartplay studio touchscreen infotainment system.

The company will be looking to keep the prices of S-Presso very competitive as it will be pitted against Renault Kwid and Hyundai Santro. The mini SUV is based on Maruti's Future-S concept that was unveiled at Auto Expo 2018.
