Maruti Suzuki, a leading Indian auto manufacturer has finally launched the new Baleno 2019 premium hatchback in India. Priced from Rs 5.45 lakh (ex-showroom), the newly launched premium hatchback comes with a new bolder look and class leading features. Maruti Suzuki Baleno had been amongst the best selling cars in the domestic market ever since its inception in the year 2015. Built on Suzuki’s safest Heartect platform, the new Baleno 2019 continues to comply with offset, side crash and pedestrian safety norms. As far as the exterior front is concerned, the all-new Baleno facelift is bolder and premium in terms of design. The premium hatchback comes with sporty and elegant fascia offering a dynamic stance which is underlined by new grille with 3D detailing. Aesthetics of the hatchback is further enhanced by LED projector headlamps with DRLs, two-tone 16-inch alloy wheels, wide sculpted fog lamp garnishing and much more. Inside the cabin, the all-new Maruti Baleno facelift gets premium black interiors with blue detailing along with plush and refreshed ornamentation. Feature-wise, the hatchback gets 17.78 cm touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, parking camera, Bluetooth audio streaming and much more. On the safety front, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, pre-tensioner and force limiter seat belts with reminder, ISOFIX child restraint system, speed alert system and rear parking sensors are standard across variants.
Mechanically, the new Baleno facelift remains unchanged with the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and and 1.3-litre DDiS 190 diesel engine options. The petrol mill is capable of making 83bhp of maximum power with peak torque of 115 Nm, whereas the oil burner churns out 74 bhp and 190 Nm of power figures. Transmission duties are carried out by 5-speed manual gearbox as standard along with an optional CVT for petrol.
