Mahindra TUV300 to Be Added in the New Patrol Fleet for Mumbai Police

Mumbai Police will be adding Mahindra TUV300 SUV to its patrolling fleet that would replace Mahindra Bolero.

Mumbai Police will soon be adding new vehicles to its patrolling fleet which is non-other than robust Mahindra TUV300. The first batch of the TUV300 SUVs are ready to be introduced soon reports Autocar India. Moreover, the report from the publication also reveals the images of the first batch of TUV300 SUVs which is likely to be introduced as a replacement to the ageing Mahindra Bolero. Mumbai Police department has selected the T4+ variant of the Mahindra TUV300 SUV which comes with basic features such as manual AC, power windows, body colored bumper, central locking, manually adjustable ORVMs. On the safety front, the SUV also comes equipped with dual front airbags and ABS as standard fitment. The Mahindra TUV300 comes with a 1.5-litre mHawk100 engine tuned to develop 100 hp and 240 Nm of power figures. Moreover, Mahindra TUV300 initially came equipped with a 1.5-litre mHawk80 diesel engine that produced 84 hp of maximum power with peak torque of 230 Nm. Transmission duties of the SUV is carried out by a 5-speed manual. Moreover, Mahindra TUV300 is capable of hitting 100 kmph mark in just 19 seconds while Bolero clocked three-figure mark in 25 seconds. The images reveals that the vehicles are ready to join the Mumbai Police Patrol fleet soon. On the exterior front, the SUV gets police-themed decals whereas the cabin is speculated to feature minor modifications as well. Priced at Rs. 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual, the base AMT variant of the SUV is available at INR 10.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) making it the cheapest AMT variant on offer. The SUV competes against the rivals such as Honda WR-V, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza & Tata Nexon.
