Mahindra & Mahindra, country's leading SUV maker will be launching the highly-awaited Marazzo MPV in India tomorrow. As a reminder, the company officially revealed the production name of its upcoming MPV earlier this year in July. The SUV-maker has been revealing the forthcoming MPV slowly and steadily, building up for the grand event. Several Mahindra dealers across the country have already started taking pre-orders for Marazzo MPV with an upfront payment of Rs 10,000. The MPV is likely to be offered in 4 trim levels - M2, M4, M6 and M8. On the exterior front, the new Marazzo will sport shark-inspired grille with chrome inserts accentuating the overall front design. The MPV will also carry new projector headlamps with LED lamps, which could be similar to the one seen on the XUV500. The rear section of the MPV will sport a C-shaped LED tail-lamps. It is also expected that MPV will also sport 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the SUV will carry a touch-screen digital infotainment system featuring a 7-inch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin layout reportedly will sport a black and beige finished dashboard. The premium quotient of the MPV will be highlighted by roof-mounted AC vents, and steering wheel mounted controls and more. The MPV will be offered in 7-seater and 8-seater configurations. On the safety front, the Marazzo will be equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, a passenger airbag off-switch, a speed sensitive door lock/unlock feature and Isofix child seat mounts as standard fitment across the entire lineup. The company is expected to launch the Marazzo MPV in a single engine option with a new 1.5-litre diesel engine. The unit is tuned to produce max power of 130hp along with peak torque of 300Nm. A new 6-speed manual gearbox will do transmission duties on the new Marazzo. However, the company is expected to introduce a petrol iteration in the later stage. Once launched in the domestic market, the new Mahindra Marazzo MPV will heat up the segment by competing against Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. As far as the pricing is concerned, the MPV is likely to be slotted in the price bracket of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).
