Kia Sonet SUV will be seen in three engine options that also powers the Venue SUV. This will include 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel options. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, a 7-speed DCT & 6-speed iMT.

The Kia Sonet SUV is a global model and it will be launched in India first. It will be produced in India, for India. The company will be using India as an export base, wherein the made-in-India Kia Sonet will be exported to many markets.

The new Kia Sonet SUV takes its inspiration from a baby elephant. The SUV comes with muscular front, powerful hood and bumper, blacked A-pillar, signature-style nose grille and more.

Kia Motors India has finally unveiled the all-new Kia Sonet SUV in the Indian market. The Sonet SUV is the second made-in-India product after the Seltos SUV.

Karim Habib, Sr. Vice President & Head of Kia Global Design, Kia Motors Corporation says that the design of the Kia Sonet is inspired from India, which is why the SUV is making its India premiere ahead of the global launch.

The world premiere event of the highly awaited Kia Sonet SUV has commenced as HO SUNG  SONG, President & CEO, Kia Motors Corporation kick-starts the event. He addresses the achievements that the brand achieved in the Indian market with the Seltos SUV. 

The countdown has begun. The South Korean auto manufacturer is all set to unveil its second 'made-in-India' product - Kia Sonet sub-compact SUV in India. The SUV will be making its world premiere here in India. You can watch the live streaming here.

The upcoming Sonet SUV will be offered in two petrol and one diesel engines. It will comprise of a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill, a 1.5-litre oil-burner, and a 1.0-litre T-GDi turbocharged petrol unit.

The new Sonet SUV is Kia’s latest ‘Made-in-India’ product and will be available in many of the brand’s global markets.

Kia Sonet SUV will come equipped with passive safety equipment. It will get up to six airbags for offering a best-in-class combination of front, side and curtain protection for occupants.

The carmaker recently revealed the official images of the interior and exterior of the upcoming  Kia Sonet SUV. The production-ready Kia Sonet gets a distinctive and dynamic design along with first-in-segment features.

Kia Motors India recently created history by becoming the fastest car manufacturer to reach 1 lakh sales milestone in India. The carmaker reached this milestone by retailing 97745 units of the Seltos and 3614 units of the Carnival.

Kia Motors India had previously teased the Sonet SUV on multiple instances by revealing the sketches ahead of the debut. The SUV is likely to go on sale in India during the festive season.

Kia Sonet SUV will be using Hyundai Venue's platform and mechanicals. The SUV will be seen in three engine options that also powers the Venue SUV. This will include 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel.

The upcoming Sonet SUV will be Kia's second ‘made in India’ car after the Seltos SUV. The all-new Sonet SUV will mark carmaker's official entry into the sub-4m SUV segment.

When launched, the Kia Sonet SUV will lock horns with some big names in the segment such as Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 & Ford EcoSport.

Some Kia dealers have already started taking pre-bookings for the SUV ahead of its official debut. The carmaker is expected to commence bookings for the Sonet SUV today.
