Tronx Motors, a wing of Smartron Company has officially launched its electric bike in the country, called as Tronx One. Launched in India at an introductory price point of Rs. 49,999, the electric bike from the company is country’s first smart crossover bike that will be available in a limited number of units. Moreover, the Tronx One electric bike will be retailed on a pre-order basis, and the deliveries for the smart crossover bike are expected to commence from next week. Currently, the electric bike will be available in the country across nine cities – Mumbai, Goa, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Designed and developed in India, the Tronx One electric bike comes equipped with a 250W electric motor at the rear hub, which pulls power from a lightweight and detachable 36V 13.6Ah 500W lithium-ion battery. On continuous throttle mode, the electric bike is capable of delivering a riding range of 50km on a single charge. With the help of Gear Assist mode, the range of the Tronx electric bike increases up to 70-85km on a single charge. Also, the bike can attain the top-speed of 25kmph when riding on electric power.

As far as the features are concerned, the Tron One bike gets multiple riding modes along with three electric gears. The crossover electric bike also gets a 6-speed Shimano Shifter which extends and adjusts the range as well as the speed of the bike. The frame of the bike is made out of an aero-grade alloy that is generally used in making aircraft. The electric bike also comes with a ‘TBike’ smartphone application that can be paired with the bike to assess relevant information such as range, cycled distance, calories burnt and much more.
