Hyundai Grand i10 Nios First Production Model Rolled Out From Chennai Facility; India Launch on August 20
As far as the prices are concerned, the upcoming Grand i10 Nios is expected to get a starting price of Rs 5.3 lakhs whereas the top-end model is likely to go up to Rs 7.8 lakh (All Prices Ex-showroom).
After launching Hyundai Venue and Kona Electric, Hyundai India is all set to launch its third all-new model for the Indian market. To be called as Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the new generation hatchback will be launched in the country on August 20. The South Korean automaker has already commenced the bookings for the new Grand i10 Nios from August 7. The interested customers can pre-book Grand i10 Nios at Hyundai dealerships across India with token amount of Rs 11,000. The new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will be positioned in between Grand i10 and i20 in Hyundai’s product line-up for the Indian market. To be offered in 10 variants, the car maker will also continue to retail the second generation Grand i10 hatchback. The new Grand i10 Nios from Hyundai will carry redesigned exterior and attractive interior.
Mechanically, the all-new Grand i10 Nio will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options that are believed to be BS6 compliant. The petrol mill will be a 1.2-litre Kappa unit whereas the diesel engine will be a 1.2-litre CRDi unit. The transmission duties will be carried out by a 5-speed manual gearbox along with an optional AMT gearbox. The AMT version of the petrol will be offered in two trims - Magna and Sportz. We will also be seeing a diesel AMT on the Sportz trim.
The hatchback will be offered in six shades - Fiery Red, Titan Grey, Aqua Teal, Polar White, Typhoon Silver and Alpha Blue.
