Hero MotoCorp, the leading two-wheeler manufacturer has finally revealed the launch date for the much waited Hero XPulse 200 adventure tourer in the Indian market. The bike maker will be launching adventure tourer in India on May 1 along with XPulse 200T. As a reminder, Hero XPulse was first unveiled at EICMA motorcycle Show 2017 followed by India debut at India Auto Expo. Dubbed as India's most affordable adventure motorcycle, Hero XPulse will be sharing its underpinning with Xtreme 200R. Hero Xtreme 200R Motorcycle Launched in India at Rs 89,900.
The motorcycle will be powered by a 200cc single-cylinder motorcycle that we have already seen on Xtreme 200R. The engine is capable of making 18 bhp of maximum power with 17.1 Nm of peak torque. Unveiled last year at EICMA 2018, Hero XPulse 200T features more relaxed ergonomics than adventure tourer.
It is reported that the company will be launching XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T together in the Indian market alongside a third mystery motorcycle, which could be the new Hero Karizma. The Hero XPulse is designed specifically for touring purpose with relaxed ergonomics and loading capability.
The suspension duties on the Hero XPulse will be carried out by long travel telescopic forks up front along with a monoshock unit. For braking, there will be disc brakes at both the ends with switchable ABS. Some of the highlight of the adventure tourer are full LED headlamp setup, luggage rack, knuckle guards, all-digital instrument console, turn-by-turn navigation, 21-inch spoked wheel up front and an 18-inch tyre at the rear and more.
Talking about the prices, the Hero XPulse is expected to be priced in the bracket of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom). If launched at this price point, the Hero XPulse will be the most affordable adventure tourer bike on sale. The bike will be pitted against Royal Enfield Himalayan.
