An unfortunate incident was reported during Tuesday morning, wherein a well-known local businessman and builder, Mihir Panchal was burnt to death when his brand new Ford Endeavour SUV suddenly caught massive fire. According to the local media, the 42-year old business was traveling in a month old Ford Endeavour when the incident took place around 11 am. However, the exact reason of SUV getting engulfed into flame is not known yet. Moreover, the Police has also ruled out homicide. Nissan Recalls Cars, SUVs Due to Risk of Fire.

Locals say that when the businessman realized that that engine of the SUV was on fire, he tried to stop the car on the side of the road. As soon as he stopped, the locals witnessed a blast in the car and the entire front of the car caught massive fire.

As per the report from TV9 Gujarat, Mihir had his seat belt on when he stopped his car. And, as the car stopped functioning, the owner was not able to remove the seat belt as it was jammed. Moreover, the locals immediately alerted the Police and Fire Brigade about the incident. But, when they arrived at the location, it was too late and the entire SUV was burnt into ashes. Moreover, the Police officials are still investigating the cause of the fire. However, it is not yet clear what could be the cause of fire breakout in a brand new SUV.

Also, this is not the first time Endeavour SUV has been reported for catching fire. A similar incident was reportedly previously in April this year, wherein the SUV caught fire due to unknown reasons. Luckily, the driver of the car managed to get out of the car unlike this case. Moreover, the Ford India has not issues any statement whatsoever stating the reason why a 40 lakh SUV car caught fire all of sudden.
